My brother-in-law is one of the contributors, and I now understand what they all experienced. Last week, I sat and listened to some of his experiences. Wow! If this country understood what they went through, maybe their return home wouldn't have been so tramatic. Nobody should have bags of human waste dropped on them as they return home, sailing under the Golden Gate. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2021 )

It is broken down into descriptive stories and detailed explanations of shipboard and wartime operations. It was a delight to read. It brought back many enjoyable experiences. Well done! - 5.0 out of 5 stars from JazzyCarol -- Excellent and Enlightening! : Just finished this fascinating book of memories compiled by naval aviators, specifically the 1972 Ghost Riders. For any of us who lived through the Vietnam war era at home this is a must read as it details the men, machines and emotions being experienced which we can only imagine after viewing the war on a TV screen. Those who are too young to have experienced that time in history should read this to get a flavor of what our aviators faced, day and night. The capricious effect of "Lady Luck" is not denied by who included their memories and I'm thankful the entire Squadron made it safely back after seeing so much action. God bless these men and all those warfighters, past and present, who protect our nation. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2021 )
